Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding day weather ranged from rainbows to crazy lightning strikes
It couldn’t have been more perfect.
The pop star and Travis Kelce’s MSG wedding day weather was filled with sunshine, rainbows and crazy lightning strikes.
In the late afternoon, a rainbow appeared over the New York City skyline as the city experiences an ongoing heat wave.

It all seemed like the perfect nod to the singer’s 2019 single “ME!” in which she sings, “One of these things is not like the others / Like a rainbow with all of the colors.”
Later in the day, lightning struck the World Trade Center, just a few miles away from where Swift and Kelce hosted a blow-out wedding ceremony at Madison Square Garden.

The chances of a lightning strike like this on Swift’s wedding day is uncanny given the lyrics to her hit song “Opalite.”
“And that’s when I told you, It’s alright / You were dancing through the lightning strikes / Sleepless in the onyx night / But now, the sky is opalite,” she sings in the 2025 tune.

Taylor Swift’s close bond with her younger brother, Austin, proves he’s been her ‘Man of Honor’ her whole life

Taylor Swift has always maintained a tight relationship with her little brother, Austin Swift, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that he served as her “Man of Honor” for her big day.
The pop star has often referenced Austin in her songs, notably in her 2008 track “The Best Day” and her 2025 hit “Opalite.”
In “The Best Day,” she sings, “I have an excellent father / His strength is making me stronger / God smiles on my little brother / Inside and out, he’s better than I am.”
Swift cheekily referred to Austin in “Opalite,” singing, “I had a bad habit of missing lovers past / My brother used to call it ‘eating out of the trash.’”
The Grammy winner has also mentioned Austin in several interviews over the years. She even shouted him out (along with their parents, Scott and Andrea Swift) in her 2023 Time Person of the Year interview, crediting her family for being a bedrock for her career and success.
“My dad, my mom, and my brother come up with some of the best ideas in my career,” she said at the time. “I always joke that we’re a small family business.”

“Working with [Sandler] … was off the chain,” Kelce told “Pat McAfee Show” listeners, calling the Emmy nominee “every bit as cool off the screen as he is on the screen.”
Sandler, for his part, dubbed Kelce “gentle, nice” and “funny as hell” during an “Entertainment Tonight” interview, as well as a “great actor,” a “great human” and a “stud.”

“He’s like the guys I grew up with,” Sandler gushed. “When I was with Travis, it reminded me of my buddies in high school and just being able to laugh and say the things you want to say.
“Taylor is incredible,” he continued at the time. “Taylor is so damn nice to my family and has always been. My kids have met Taylor a bunch of times over the years, and she’s ridiculously nice to them and warm.”
Sandler, who reportedly played basketball in New York City’s heat wave hours before officiating the couple’s star-studded nuptials, confessed to Conan O’Brien in 2024 that the singer makes him “a little jumpy.”
