SHE BURSTED THE CROWD’S BIGGEST HOPE IN ONE SENTENCE… BUT WHAT HAPPENED NEXT PROVED ELLA LANGLEY DIDN’T NEED ANYONE TO STEAL THE SHOW.

She crushed it.

Yesterday, Ella Langley headlined Stagecoach festival in California, and it looked like an incredible performance from start to finish on the Mane stage… Ella looked incredible in the golden hour lighting, and she gave fans quite a surprise when she had comedian Theo Von show up to sing Riley Green’s part of their hit song “you look like you love me”:

And of course, Ella also played her brand new duet with Morgan Wallen called “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” which they just performed live for the first time recently at Morgan’s show in Tuscaloosa, Alabama during the second weekend of his Still the Problem tour.

Ella wrote it with Austin Goodloe and Joybeth Taylor, and it finds the two lovers in a place of heartache, knowing they shouldn’t be together but not being able to fully let go. Ella opens by admitting she found a “lighter in a night stand” that reminded her of him:

“I found a lighter in the night stand
That’s why I’m thinking of you, I guess
What part of over don’t I understand
‘Cause damn, I miss the taste of your cigarette
Yeah, your memory pulls me right back in
It’s like I forget

I can’t love you anymore
Can’t keep chasing you around in the back of my mind
I can’t need you anymore
Can’t keep sharing this bed with your ghost every night
I hate that your kiss left a burn on my lips
Oh baby, how do I tell my heart it ain’t yours
When I said it before
I can’t love you anymore”

Morgan comes in with the next verse, saying he still has a picture of them “collecting dust on the dash,” and he can’t forget her, either:

“Just when I think you let me let you go
There’s picture of us covered in dust on the dash
So you lit it up, just to see the smoke
Wrote me plus you with the date on the back
Look at that”

Morgan says he and Ella have been wanting to get together for a duet for a while, and when he heard the opening riff, he instantly knew he wanted to sing it with her:

“Ella and I have been talking about doing a song for a little while now. We have been on tour together and I’m a huge fan of what she does. She wrote and sent over this song and from the beginning riff, it was hard to deny. I’m honored she wanted me to be the one to do it with her.”

And as she introduced the song at Stagecoach, Ella quickly told the crowd there were no other surprises and Morgan wasn’t there because he was on “dad duty,” and of course, she couldn’t blame him for being a good dad, but she still wanted to sing it for the fans.

“So I put out a song today, I’m going to go ahead and burst your bubble, Morgan is not here. He’s on dad duty this weekend. Can’t blame a man for being a good dad. But, I did not want to not play the song. This is our third tour together, we were talking about what song we wanted to do.

And both of us had brought up the idea of doing one together, and I wrote this next one with two of my best friends, Austin Goodloe and Joybeth Taylor, and I thought it was perfect, I sent it to Morgan and he loved it. So I’m excited to play it tonight, this one’s called ‘I Can’t Love You Anymore.’”

I have no doubt it will be another huge hit for both of them and will probably find its way to the top of the charts very quickly:

After Dolly Parton’s death, American Idol runner-up John Foster chose not to make a grand speech. Instead, he picked up his acoustic guitar and quietly sang “I Will Always Love You”—one of Dolly’s most beloved songs. His tribute quickly struck a chord with fans, but it was Foster’s explanation that made the performance even more emotional: he admitted that his own words could never do justice to what Dolly meant to him, so he let Dolly’s own songwriting speak in his place. And as his voice carried those familiar words into the silence, the tribute became something far more painful than a performance—it felt like one final goodbye.
