The final question in the game is regarded to be so tough that on average only 1% of the UK population would get it right.

However, some viewers were left insisting the latest big question was “embarrassing” as they insisted it was “easy” to arrive at the final question.

On Saturday’s episode, just three players managed to make it to the floor for the chance to answer the final question and walk away with a stake in the major jackpot.

The episode’s jackpot stood at £96,000 with Courtney, Wayne and Sam all faced with answering the following question.

It read: “How many dots (i.e. ‘.’) – including any used in punctuation and letters… – are used in writing this question?”

Out of the three of them, Courtney fell at the final hurdle but Wayne and Sam managed to guess it correctly.

The answer to the question was 17 – did you get it right?

It was explained that every dot sitting atop a letter, given as an example in parentheses as well as in question marks.

It led some fans to brand it “easy” as it amounted to just adding up dots as opposed to using any certain type of skill.

Writing online, one fan of the show said: “Embarrassing that counting dots was a 1% question.”

Another added: “This was an easy 1% question to be fair.”

A third said: “This was the easiest 1% question ever.”

Before a fourth stated: “We all got 17 and couldn’t believe it was that easy, almost as if there has to be a catch here. Literally just needed to count. The 1% is usually rock hard.”

As a result of only Wayne and Sam getting the question right, they were able to split the prize fund and walk away with £48,000 each.
