HARRY AND MEGHAN’S NEXT MOVE REVEALED! The Sussexes Have Nottingham in Their Sights — And Their Latest Plans Are Putting Their UK Connection Back Under the Spotlight… Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s plans for Nottingham have been revealed, sparking fresh interest in what the couple are preparing to do next. With their relationship with Britain still attracting intense scrutiny, any move linked to the UK is bound to invite questions about their wider intentions. Nottingham also carries echoes of their earlier royal life, adding another layer of intrigue to the announcement. As attention turns to the details of their plans, one thing is certain: the Sussexes’ next step will be watched closely, with every decision likely to fuel further debate about their place in British public life.

HARRY AND MEGHAN’S UK COMEBACK TAKES A DRAMATIC TURN — THE NOTTINGHAM VISIT THAT PUTS THEM BACK IN THE ROYAL SPOTLIGHT

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex Colombia Visit - Day 1

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are preparing for their first joint public engagement in Britain since returning to the UK, with three charitable visits planned in Nottingham on Thursday.

The announcement marks a significant moment for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have spent recent weeks back on British soil but have yet to appear together at an official public engagement since their return.

Their itinerary will take them into the heart of Nottingham’s St Ann’s community, where they are expected to meet people working to support young people and families facing poverty, instability and other challenges.

The visit also brings the couple back to a city with personal significance: Nottingham was where they made their first joint public appearance after announcing their engagement in 2017.

THEIR FIRST JOINT ENGAGEMENT SINCE RETURNING

Harry and Meghan’s first stop will be the Community Recording Studio (CRS), a youth and community charity in St Ann’s that was originally established to give young people access to music and recording facilities.

The organisation has since expanded its work to include creative activities, sport, mentoring and youth development, helping young people build confidence and practical skills.

During their visit, the couple are expected to see how the charity supports those affected by poverty, instability, exploitation or violence.

Harry has a longstanding connection to the organisation. He visited St Ann’s privately in 2013, and returned to the Community Recording Studio during a series of engagements in Britain last year.

The Royal Foundation has also supported a programme aimed at helping young people find alternatives to violence and crime. Meghan is believed to have previously met young people involved in the scheme and made private visits to its girls’ nurture group.

The couple’s Nottingham schedule will include two further charitable initiatives, extending their focus beyond youth development.

One visit is planned around World Food Poverty Day on Friday and will provide Meghan with an opportunity to celebrate the legacy of her Together: Our Community Cookbook, which brought women together through food and community support.

Harry and Meghan will also visit a charity supporting children, young people and families across St Ann’s and Sneinton through youth work, sport, mentoring and education.

THE ROYAL STATUS QUESTION STILL HANGS OVER THEM

The joint appearance comes amid continued disagreements over Harry and Meghan’s position within the Royal Family.

The couple stepped back from their roles as working royals in 2020 and subsequently established their lives in the United States. They returned to Britain at the end of August and are understood to have settled in the Cotswolds, where their children are reportedly enjoying time at their new school.

However, their return has been accompanied by a public dispute with Buckingham Palace over their status and security arrangements.

Last month, a letter sent on the King’s instructions reportedly made clear that Harry and Meghan should be regarded as “private citizens” during their return to the UK — a position said to have surprised the couple.

Despite those disagreements, both have expressed happiness about being back in Britain.

Their Nottingham itinerary may therefore carry significance beyond its charitable purpose. It offers the Sussexes an opportunity to appear together in public, reconnect with causes they have supported and demonstrate how they intend to approach their time in the UK.

The couple’s return to Nottingham also brings them full circle, back to the city where their joint public story first began — this time, under a very different set of circumstances.
