A murder brings Anna Andrews back home

His & Hers is an American mystery thriller starring Tessa Thompson, Jon Bernthal, Pablo Schreiber, Rebecca Rittenhouse and Sunita Mani. The six-part limited series, based on Alice Feeney’s 2020 novel of the same name, premiered on Netflix on January 8, 2026.

At the centre of the story is Anna, a former news anchor who has retreated from her career and personal life and now lives in isolation in Atlanta.

That changes when she hears about a murder in Dahlonega, the small Georgia town where she grew up.

The case draws Anna back into the world of journalism. Using her experience as a reporter and her personal connection to the town, she begins digging for answers and becomes increasingly convinced that important parts of the truth have been buried beneath years of silence and forgotten history.

But Anna soon discovers that she is not the only person investigating.

The detective leading the case is Jack Harper, her estranged husband. His suspicions about Anna’s involvement put the former couple on opposite sides of the investigation, with both trying to uncover what really happened. By the final episode, the investigation reaches its conclusion as Anna and Jack are forced to confront the consequences of what happened in the past.

Since its arrival on Netflix, His & Hers has attracted plenty of enthusiastic reactions from viewers, particularly for its six-episode format, performances and unpredictable storyline.
