Fans of The Voice will need to adjust their viewing plans as the singing competition has made a permanent schedule change halfway through its milestone 30th season.
After airing new episodes every Monday at 8 p.m. ET during the first half of the season, the NBC series has moved to the 9 p.m. time slot. The change begins November 2, with the “Cut Week” episode airing one hour later than usual before becoming available to stream on Peacock the following day.
The new schedule makes room for NBC’s comedy lineup. St. Denis Medical airs at 8 p.m., followed by The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins at 8:30 p.m. The Voice now follows both shows.

The schedule change will continue when the live shows begin on November 9. New episodes will air every Monday at 9 p.m. ET, leading up to the season finale on December 14.
Monday’s Cut Week episode is being promoted as the biggest elimination in the show’s history. It will also mark the final time this season that coaches decide which contestants move forward. Adam Levine, Kelly Clarkson, Queen Latifah and Riley Green will narrow down their teams before the competition shifts to audience voting.

Adam and Kelly are hoping to claim another victory, while first-time coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green are competing for their first win. Once the live shows begin, viewers will have the power to vote for the artists they want to keep in the competition.
Season 30 has already introduced several major changes. The show began with a special three-night premiere event, with its first episode lasting two hours. The official Voice app also no longer offers the interactive feature that allowed viewers to participate during past seasons.

Another new addition is Cut Week, which replaces the traditional Knockouts and Playoffs. The coaches must reduce the 28 artists who made it through the Battles before the live competition begins.
The return of live shows is another major change. The Voice used pre-taped episodes during its previous two seasons, but Season 30 brings back live broadcasts for the final six weeks. Viewers can vote for their favorites through text messages and TikTok during designated voting windows. Episodes will air simultaneously on NBC and Peacock.

There will be another major change when the show returns for Season 31. Carson Daly is leaving his hosting role after 15 seasons. He has been the show’s only host since it premiered in 2011.
We previously reported that Carson was stepping away because of scheduling conflicts with his work on Today. However, he will remain an executive producer and could return in a future season.
Keke Palmer has already been announced as his replacement for Season 31.
