The Jane Austen Book Club originally premiered in 2007 and centres on a group of women in a reading circle who choose to explore the works of the cherished author of Pride and Prejudice, reports the Express.
Yet, the themes from Jane Austen’s novels begin to mirror their own actual romantic lives.
The circle discovers their relationships both former and current beginning to unfold like 21st century interpretations of Austen’s works.

The Jane Austen Book Club is based on the 2004 novel of the identical title by American writer Karen Joy Fowler.
The film featured an impressive ensemble cast, including The Devil Wears Prada star Emily Blunt, renowned American actress Kathy Baker, Amy Brenneman of Judging Amy fame, Jimmy Smits from NYPD Blue, Hannibal star Hugh Dancy, Maggie Grace from Lost and celebrated actress Maria Bello.

One viewer titled their 10/10 review: “A brilliant and emotional film.”
They continued: “Those who made it really loved and understood Jane Austen (and literature in general). Anyone of admires her books will find in this movie lots to think about.”
Noting that it was “one of the most intelligent” films they had seen.
A second highly-rated review commended the picture and stated: “[The Jane Austen Bookclub] is a remarkable achievement, an oasis in a Hollywood landscape that has forgotten how important creativity and talent must work together to produce quality work.
