Jeopardy! Champion Anthony Cantor Scores Third Consecutive Win After Controversial Final Jeopardy! Clue

Anthony Cantor extended his winning streak on Jeopardy! for a third consecutive game, bringing his total winnings to $58,500 after successfully defending his lead in a Final Jeopardy! round that viewers found surprisingly easy.
The television and podcast producer from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, returned to the competition on Wednesday, October 21, with $42,401 already in the bank from his first two victories. With a potential place in the Tournament of Champions on the horizon, Cantor faced Sam Robison, a teacher from Birmingham, Alabama, and Kayla Patel, a recent graduate of the University of Pennsylvania from Mount Laurel, New Jersey.
Although Robison managed to break a streak of five consecutive missed Daily Doubles by correctly answering the game’s final Daily Double, the comeback wasn’t enough to overtake Cantor.
Cantor Maintains His Lead Heading Into Final Jeopardy!

By the end of Double Jeopardy!, Cantor had built a comfortable lead with $14,600. Robison sat in second place with $6,400, while Patel trailed with just $600.
The final category was “Ancient Artifacts,” and the clue read:
“Discovered in 1974, these artifacts were armed with real weapons & none of the 7,000+ figures were the same.”
The correct response was the Terracotta Army, the collection of life-sized figures discovered in China in 1974.
Patel and Robison both identified the answer correctly. Patel wagered $500, bringing her final total to $1,100, while Robison risked $1,400 to finish with $7,800.
Cantor submitted “What are the terracotta warriors?” His response was accepted as correct, allowing him to retain his lead. He wagered $1,799, finishing the game with $16,399 and raising his three-day winnings to $58,500.
Cantor is scheduled to return on Thursday for his fourth game, with fans eager to see whether he can continue his run and eventually qualify for the Tournament of Champions.

A third viewer pointed to the combination of the enormous number of figures and the mention of weapons as clues that made the answer particularly clear.
