She couldn’t hold back the tears…Lainey Wilson’s unexpected duet with a 10-year-old fan has left the crowd completely heartbroken. During an emotional moment in Cincinnati, Lainey Wilson invited a young fan living with spina bifida to share the stage for a touching performance of “4x4xU.” What followed was far more than a simple duet. The little girl’s courage and Lainey’s warmth created a moment that had the audience cheering, crying, and struggling to keep their emotions in check. By the final notes, it was no longer about the superstar on stage—it was about one unforgettable moment that neither of them is likely to forget.

“I want her to know she let me live my dream,” the young fan said in a message to Wilson.

Lainey Wilson made one young fan’s dream come true during her recent show at Cincinnati’s Paycor Stadium when she invited 10-year-old Rylee Clark to sing “4X4XU” alongside her in front of thousands of fans.

Rylee was born with spina bifida but her mom, Casey Clark, told WLWT5 that her diagnosis “doesn’t stop her, especially with her attitude and her positiveness.” According to Mayo Clinic, “Spina bifida is a condition that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don’t form properly…Spina bifida can range from being mild to causing serious disabilities.”

Casey’s statement proved to be true during her daughter’s very first concert when they found themselves front row with a homemade sign that read, “This is my first concert I want to sing ‘4x4xU’ with you.”

Their plan worked. After spotting the sign, Wilson made her way over to Rylee, where her mom lifted her onto the barricade so the two could meet eye to eye. Wilson revealed she had been reading the sign all night and then proceeded to ask, “You like that song?”

“I love that song,” Rylee replied confidently.

Wilson told her they would sing it together. Although she pointed out there was a lot of people around, Rylee shrugged her shoulders showing no fear in that moment.

“It’s your time to shine. Want to say hi to everybody?” Wilson shared.

“Hey y’all,” Rylee said to the crowd before she began singing every word to the lyrics of “4x4xU,” leaving Wilson visibly impressed. They continued to harmonize throughout the heartfelt track, belting out the chorus with power and true passion.

The young girl later told the news outlet that she was “about to start crying tears of joy” when the Louisiana native made her way over and only felt “a little nervous” to sing together in front of the entire stadium.

Rylee’s mother Casey was filled with pride for her daughter in that moment. It was a memory that she will cherish forever.

“Just her being able to do it and not have any fear in the world and just come up here and rock it—it was everything I could do to just hold tears back while she had her moment,” she admitted.

Casey later shared videos and photos to Facebook, documenting all the magic that unfolded during Rylee’s first concert, from entering the venue to finding their spot in the very front and enjoying Lainey Wilson’s set.

She once again gushed over their night together, writing, “Words cant describe last night, other than unforgettable! Im so glad I got to be there with her. Watching her live out her best life is the best.”

Reflecting on the unforgettable experience, Rylee told the news outlet the one thing she wanted Wilson to know: “I want her to know she let me live my dream.”
