Prince Harry and Meghan Face New School Rules as Archie and Lilibet Prepare for Life in Britain

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s return to Britain is already creating a new layer of attention around their young family — and now, strict new school rules are reportedly being put in place as Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet prepare to begin the new academic year.

The Sussexes recently relocated from the US to Britain with their two children and are reportedly living at a private, non-royal property in the Cotswolds. Their return is expected to last for an “extended period”, bringing Archie and Lilibet physically closer to members of the Royal Family.

But their children’s new school life is likely to come with heightened privacy concerns.

Parents reportedly warned about new rules

Royal commentator Kinsey Schofield told Page Six that families in the area had received a message warning them that certain pupils could attract significantly more public and media attention.

According to Schofield, the communication explained that some families joining the school could occasionally bring “a greater level of public or media interest.”

The message reportedly stressed that the school wanted every pupil to experience school in a “safe, happy, and private environment”.

Parents and carers were also reminded not to photograph or film other children without permission, or post photographs, personal information or details about pupils and their families on social media.

While the rules were not publicly presented as being specifically about Archie and Lilibet, the timing has inevitably drawn attention because of the Sussex children’s reported arrival in the area.

Harry and Meghan reportedly considered several schools

Schofield also said a source had told her that Harry and Meghan “approached multiple schools” before making their move.

The couple previously settled in Montecito, California, after stepping back from royal duties in 2020. Their decision to spend an extended period back in Britain now marks a significant change for Archie and Lilibet, who have spent much of their young lives in the US.

According to Page Six, sources have claimed that Harry was keen for his children to live closer to his father, King Charles, while also giving Archie and Lilibet greater opportunities to develop relationships with other members of the Royal Family.

The move could therefore mean more than simply a change of address for the children. It places them closer to the family their father left behind while introducing them to a very different environment from their life in California.

Security remains a priority

Despite the intense interest surrounding the Sussexes, the exact location of the family’s property and the children’s schools has not been revealed.

Security and privacy are understood to be major considerations, particularly given Archie and Lilibet’s high-profile status.

For now, the Sussex children’s new chapter in Britain is being kept deliberately private. But with the new school year approaching, even the smallest details surrounding their daily lives are likely to attract attention — making those reported privacy rules more significant than ever.
