“We’ve got a great product to sell,” Napier told Late Kick host Josh Pate at the SEC Media Days. “We’re a class and a half behind. That’s magnified for me. I wasn’t recruiting this pool of players in Louisiana; I had no prior relationships with any players in the 2023 class. We started from scratch. Going forward, we’re back on schedule. Napier touched on hiring three new coordinators this offseason and the pros and cons of coaching a high-profile program during his sit-down with Pate. He also diagnosed the incremental gains the Gators have made since his arrival and what fans can expect from transfer quarterback Graham Mertz next season, among other things.
