The 1% Club: Lee Mack shocked by contestants’ answers
The 1% Club’s brain-scratching family questions wiped out 32 players and left Lee Mack gasping: “That is massive!” The late-night quiz show, hosted by 56-year-old actor, tests the logic and common sense of 100 individuals who have the chance to walk away with £100,000 if they answer every question correctly. The programme’s questions are put to the public and the percentage of who answers it correctly determines the difficulty of each round, meaning the questions get harder as they go along.
During a previous episode of the ITV game show saw the Not Going Out star welcome 100 players back to the studio in a bid to take home some cash. The 40% question proved to be quite difficult for a number of budding players as they ended up getting eliminated from the programme.

The dad-of-three asked the players: “Which of these would it be impossible to do?” The three options were: A) marry your cousin’s cousin, B) marry your brother’s widow, or C) marry your widow’s sister.
As 30 seconds ticked down on the clock, Lee confessed: “I would like to remind our contestants I only read the questions out, I don’t set them. Now sometimes, I struggle to read them out…”
After the time ran out, Lee said: “Let’s see who got the answer right” as he revealed a shocking 32 people were kicked off the programme.
Reeling from the results, he mused: “Wow. That is massive! 32 people went out on that on.” The correct answer is C as he revealed: “You would not be able to marry your widow’s sister as you would already be dead.”

It comes after an ‘odd one out’ question on the TV show forced 13 players to pass. If a contestant decides to use their one pass, their £1,000 gets put into a prize pot and they move on to the next round.
During one episode, the 45% question proved tricky for several players in the game. Lee asked: “Which is the odd one out? A) Dapple, B) Slime, C) Spear, or D) Rabbit.” The correct answer was D) Rabbit.
The reasoning was: “Rabbit is the only word when you take away the first letter it does not spell out the name of a fruit.” However, when the 30 second timer rang, Lee revealed: “We’ve only lost three of you, but there was 13 passes on that one.”
