MEGHAN MARKLE BREAKS HER SILENCE WITH FIVE-WORD VERDICT ON UK RETURN — HER FIRST WORDS TO FANS IN NOTTINGHAM REVEAL HOW SHE FEELS

Meghan Markle has delivered a five-word verdict on being back in Britain, offering a brief but revealing glimpse of her mood as she joined Prince Harry for their first joint UK engagements since returning to the country over the summer.
The Duchess of Sussex looked radiant as she arrived in Nottingham wearing burgundy from head to toe, where crowds had gathered outside the Community Recording Studio to welcome the couple.
Harry and Meghan were greeted with cheers as they stepped out of a dark-coloured Range Rover before embarking on an impromptu, 20-minute walkabout. Supporters seized the opportunity to take selfies, exchange greetings and offer the couple hugs.
One woman could be heard shouting: “We love you, Duchess Meghan, we love you.”
‘IT’S GOOD TO BE BACK’

During the walkabout, Meghan was heard telling one well-wisher: “It’s good to be back.”
She also appeared happy to make small talk with members of the public, turning her attention to the sunny conditions during the visit.
“Nice, the weather is so wonderful. It’s so fun, so fun,” she told one person in the crowd.
The brief exchanges offered a glimpse of the Duchess’s interactions with supporters as she returned to public engagements in the UK for the first time since the late Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral in 2022.
‘WE LOVE THEM AND SHOW SUPPORT’
Among those waiting to see the Sussexes was 22-year-old Abigail Heckford, who attended as part of a college project.
“It’s a big news event. It’s a big thing for somewhere I grew up,” she said, although she admitted she had expected a larger crowd.
Nicola Taylor, 21, from Nottingham, arrived with her friend Lisa Marie, also 21, hoping to greet the couple after following them since their school years.

Taylor said it was an opportunity to welcome Harry and Meghan in person after missing their previous UK appearance in 2017.
Another supporter, Nichola, arrived early with a unicorn balloon intended for the couple’s children, Archie and Lilibet.
She recalled a light-hearted exchange with Harry after presenting the gift.
“Harry said, ‘How do you know she likes children?’ and I said, ‘All children like unicorns’,” she said.
Nichola also defended the Sussexes against the criticism they have faced, adding: “We love them and show support; they are always welcome.”
She said she knew Harry had a great deal of affection for Nottingham.
A PERSONAL MOMENT DURING A HIGH-PROFILE VISIT
The Nottingham appearance marked an important public return for Meghan, who joined Harry for a series of engagements focused on community organisations and local initiatives.
While the couple attracted significant media attention, the walkabout gave supporters an opportunity to speak with them directly, offer gifts and express their enthusiasm.
For Meghan, the words “It’s good to be back” provided a simple, personal response to her return to Britain — delivered amid cheers, photographs and warm greetings from the crowd.
