Country music legend Alan Jackson has built an iconic career spanning more than three decades. After releasing his debut single in 1989, Jackson went on to become one of the most successful artists in country music history, selling more than 75 million records worldwide.

Throughout his career, hits like “Chattahoochee” has earned him numerous accolades, including two Grammy Awards, 16 CMA Awards, and 17 ACM Awards. In 2021, Jackson first announced that he had been diagnosed with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease (CMT), an incurable, degenerative nerve condition that affects the peripheral nerves.

Following his diagnosis, Jackson launched his multi-year “Last Call” farewell tour, giving fans one final chance to see him perform live. The tour officially came to an end on May 17, 2025, with a final show in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. His final show, ever, was later announced to take place on June 27th at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium.

Country Stars Take The Stage Together To Honor Alan Jackson

It’s no surprise “The Finale” sold out almost immediately when tickets went on sale in October 2025. Some of country’s biggest stars were there to help Jackson bring his career to a close.

Many of the starts honored Jackson alone by singing some of his biggest hits. Perhaps one of the highlights of the evening, though, was when a number of artists performed a tribute as one.

Taking the stage together, the all-star country music lineup came out to sing Jackson’s famous, “Pop a Top,” released in 1999 as the lead single from his album Under the Influence.

Leading the group were Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, who stood at the center of the star-studded performance. They were joined by fellow country artists including Thomas Rhett, Cody Johnson, Riley Green, and many more.

You can watch a clip of that performance below.

For many performers, the night was more than just a concert, it was a tribute to an artist who helped shape their own music careers.

Carrie Underwood explained that Alan Jackson’s farewell concert was also a full-circle moment. She shared why it was so special to her on Instagram.

“Life has a way of coming full circle. The very first concert I ever attended was @officialalanjacksonback in 1994, and it changed my life,” Underwood wrote.

The “Before He Cheats” singer posted a photo smiling next to a poster of Jackson’s famous water skiing scene from his “Chattahoochee” music video.

“This little girl posing in front of his poster could have never imagined she’d one day be standing on stage at his farewell concert, celebrating this legendary artist whose music has been such a big part of her life,” Underwood continued.

Lainey Wilson posted about the monumental night, sharing a carousel of photos and saying that these were the “moments you call home about.”

Country star Thomas Rhett explained the experience as: “Arguably the coolest thing I’ve ever gotten to be a part of.”

Luke Combs took home a special keepsake from the night, sharing the impact Jackson’s career has had on him.

“Getting asked to help honor someone like @officialalanjackson was surreal. The impact he’s had on me, so many others, and country music as a whole can’t be overstated,” Combs wrote.

He also posted a signed set list he received from Jackson.

“Last night was one of those nights I’ll never forget. I shook one of my heroes hands and got to thank him for everything he’s done for us. God I love country music,” he continued.
