Archie And Lilibet Arrive At Their New School—Then Parents Receive A Very Unusual Warning! Families Are Reportedly Given Specific Instructions About Harry And Meghan’s Children, And Even Saying Hello Apparently Comes With A Rule

Archie And Lilibet Begin Their New UK School Life As Parents Are Asked To Show Harry And Meghan’s Children ‘Warmth And Kindness’

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children have officially begun school in Britain following the family’s return from California — and parents at their new school have been given a clear request as Archie and Lilibet adjust to their new surroundings.

Prince Archie, seven, and Princess Lilibet, five, started at an undisclosed school in England this week after the Sussex family moved back to the UK from Montecito in late August.

The school has not publicly singled out the royal siblings in its communications. Instead, a letter addressing the arrival of “a number of new families” asked existing parents to extend the newcomers “the same warmth and kindness” that has helped shape the school community.

Alongside that welcoming message came an important reminder about privacy, including rules concerning phones and photographs of other people’s children.

For Harry and Meghan, who have long spoken about protecting Archie and Lilibet from intense public attention, those measures could prove particularly significant.

Parents Asked To Welcome The New Families

According to a letter seen by HELLO!, the school acknowledged that several new families were joining at the beginning of the academic year.

The message read: “I know that our existing families will extend to them the same warmth and kindness that makes our school such a special place.”

While the wording applies broadly to the school’s newcomers, Archie and Lilibet are among the children now settling into the community following their family’s major transatlantic move.

The Sussexes are believed to have established themselves at a private, non-royal residence in the Cotswolds, although the precise location of the family’s home is being kept private.

The move represents a dramatic change for the children after spending much of their early lives in California.

Archie And Lilibet Are Entering Different School Years

Archie is understood to be starting Year 3, while his younger sister is beginning Year 1.

It also means the siblings are now navigating the British education system after previously attending different schools in the United States.

For Archie, who was born in Britain in 2019 before his parents stepped away from senior royal duties, the move marks a return to the country of his birth.

Lilibet, born in California in 2021, faces an even bigger adjustment as she begins school life in Britain.

Their arrival inevitably attracts unusual public interest, making the school’s existing privacy policies particularly relevant.

School Reinforces A Strict Rule On Photographs

Parents have also been reminded not to share photographs of children other than their own on social media.

The school has reiterated its no-phone policy on school grounds, while additional guidance is expected to apply during performances and other events when appropriate.

Although such rules are not solely about Archie and Lilibet, they could provide an important layer of privacy for two children whose parents have repeatedly sought to limit their exposure to unwanted attention.

It means ordinary moments such as arriving at school, taking part in activities or appearing alongside classmates are less likely to become social-media content simply because another parent happens to have a phone nearby.

The emphasis appears to be on allowing all pupils to experience school as normally and privately as possible.

Royal School Privacy Is Already Under Scrutiny Elsewhere

The issue of cameras around royal children has also been highlighted at Eton College, where “No photography” signs were seen ahead of Prince George’s arrival this week.

The Prince and Princess of Wales accompanied their eldest son to the Berkshire school as he began another major stage of his education.

George is following in the footsteps of his father, Prince William, who also attended Eton.

Although the circumstances surrounding the Wales and Sussex children are different, both developments illustrate the difficulty of balancing enormous public curiosity with the privacy expected in an educational environment.

For Archie and Lilibet, that issue is especially notable given comments Meghan made several years before the family’s return.

Meghan Previously Had Serious Concerns About UK Schooling

The Duchess of Sussex spoke openly in 2022 about the prospect of educating her children in Britain.

During an interview with The Cut, Meghan expressed concern about the level of press attention she believed could surround something as ordinary as taking a child to school.

She described a scenario involving “a royal photo call with a press pen of 40 people snapping pictures.”

The comment reflected one of Meghan’s longstanding concerns about raising Archie and Lilibet amid intense media attention.

Their new circumstances appear markedly different from the scenario she described.

Rather than beginning school through a highly publicized arrival, the children have entered an undisclosed institution where privacy policies restrict photography and phone use.

Their school’s public identity has also been kept out of the spotlight.

A Very Different Return To Britain

Archie and Lilibet beginning school is another indication of how substantially Harry and Meghan’s lives have changed since leaving the UK in 2020.

Their return does not represent a return to their previous roles as working members of the Royal Family.

Instead, they are attempting to establish a private family life in Britain while raising their children outside the structure of official royal duties.

That distinction makes the children’s school experience particularly important.

Archie and Lilibet carry royal titles and belong to one of the world’s most closely watched families, but inside the classroom they are entering the same environment as other pupils their age.

The school’s message appears designed to preserve exactly that sense of normality.

‘Warmth And Kindness’ As A New Chapter Begins

For the Sussex children, the move involves more than simply changing schools.

They have moved countries, entered a different education system and joined a new community after growing up thousands of miles away in California.

There will inevitably be public curiosity about how Harry and Meghan’s family adapts to life back in Britain.

But the message reaching fellow parents is notably simple.

Welcome the new families with “warmth and kindness.”

Respect the rules surrounding phones and photographs.

And allow the children the privacy to settle into their new environment.

For Harry and Meghan, the first school week represents another milestone in their return to Britain.

For Archie and Lilibet, however, it is something much more ordinary — and perhaps much more important: the beginning of life at a new school.
