Crime drama fans need to get this gripping thriller on their radar – a show based on not one but two best-selling novels.
Adolescence proved a worldwide smash for Netflix last year, with actor Stephen Graham scooping the Golden Globe for his outstanding performance.
Now the legendary Liverpudlian is back, this time in a far more menacing role in Apple TV’s hotly anticipated crime thriller Nocturne.
He stars alongside Ray Donovan’s Liev Schreiber and Joker actress Zazie Beetz in this “riveting” new 10-part drama, adapted from Lars Kepler’s best-selling novels Lazarus and The Sandman.

Unlike Adolescence, however, Nocturne will give viewers a chilling glimpse of Graham’s darker side.
Nocturne “tells the story of Jonah Lynn (Schreiber), an ex-soldier turned homicide detective who, tired of working the tough streets of Philadelphia, moves to a small town in Western Pennsylvania for a quiet life”, according to the official synopsis.
“But, as the town and his family come under attack from the diabolically cunning serial killer Jurek Walter (Graham), Jonah must protect all that he holds dear.
“When the desperate search for Jurek’s last missing victim forces Jonah to send his surrogate daughter FBI Agent Saga Bauer (Beetz) up against Jurek, how far will Jonah go?”
Crime drama enthusiasts will have to exercise some patience, however, as Nocturne won’t land until later this year on Friday, October 30, on Apple TV.

Only the first two episodes will drop on the release date, with the remaining instalments rolling out on a weekly basis. The grand finale of Nocturne is due to land on Friday, December 25, on the streaming platform.
Alongside the three lead stars, Nocturne’s wider cast features The Queen’s Gambit’s Bill Camp, This is Us actress Chrissy Metz and Lord of Chaos actor Rory Culkin.
Nocturne makes its debut on Friday, October 30, on Apple TV.
