Montana Native Erica Doornek Takes the ‘Jeopardy!’ Stage, Representing Her Hometown of Glasgow

A Montana contestant is bringing her home state into the spotlight on Jeopardy! Erica Doornek, originally from Glasgow, is set to appear on the popular quiz show, proudly representing a community she describes as the “most remote town in the lower 48 states” — or, as locals might call it, “The Middle of Nowhere.”
Doornek, who now lives in Billings, is making her television appearance with a personal touch. She plans to wear earrings featuring Montana’s state gemstone, moss agate, as a tribute to her roots.

From Glasgow to the ‘Jeopardy!’ Stage
Doornek has a strong connection to Montana and its surrounding landscapes. She has lived in both Glacier National Park and Klondike Gold Rush Park, experiences that form part of her background before stepping into the national spotlight.

She graduated from the University of Montana–Missoula, where she majored in Print Journalism. Her professional career has since taken her into public service. She currently works as an administrative assistant with the Bureau of Reclamation.
Beyond her day job, Doornek also serves on a local Community Development Board. The board helps distribute federal grants to disadvantaged neighborhoods, supporting communities through public funding.
When and Where to Watch

Viewers in Montana can catch Doornek’s appearance on Jeopardy! at 6 p.m. on KRTV in Great Falls and KXLH in Helena, following the MTN 5:30 p.m. News.
For Doornek, the appearance is also an opportunity to represent Glasgow and share a little piece of Montana with audiences across the country.
