Got Talent Stars Perform with Shakira at World Cup Final
On Sunday, Spain and Argentina competed in the World Cup Final, which featured a halftime show co-headlined by Shakira, Madonna, BTS, and Justin Bieber. During Shakira’s performance, she was joined by some talented young dancers.
That includes Eseniia Mikheeva, who competed on Season 18 of America’s Got Talent, reaching the Semifinals. Eseniia shared a number of videos on Instagram from her performance, thanking Shakira “for making one of my biggest dreams come true.”
Shakira herself responded to the post, writing, “This letter just melted my heart!!! Eseniia, what a treat to have shared these days next to you!!” The singer also shared the stage with Ghetto Kids, a Ugandan dance troupe who reached the Final of Britain’s Got Talent Series 16.
Ghetto Kids joined Shakira as she performed “Dai Dai,” her official song for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, featuring Burna Boy. As the group wrote on Instagram, “Dreams really do come true. Performing at the World Cup Halftime Show with @shakira was an experience We will carry with us for a lifetime.”
Who Won the World Cup Final?
Sunday’s World Cup Final was between Spain and Argentina. This year’s tournament ran from June 11 to July 19, hosted by 16 cities in the United States, Mexico, and Canada. The format was expanded this year to include 48 teams instead of the previous 32.
Spain was named the champion after defeating Argentina 1 to 0 following extra time. It is now the first nation to be the reigning champion for both the men’s and women’s World Cups.
Sunday’s halftime show was curated by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and produced by Global Citizen. The show featured performances by Shakira, Madonna, BTS, and Justin Bieber. Before the match, Jennifer Hudson sang “The Star-Spangled Banner.”
