The 1% Club just found a way to make every second matter…Lee Mack’s hugely popular quiz show is getting its biggest shake-up yet with a special five-night 1% Club Rollover event coming to ITV1 and ITVX. The biggest change? The pressure won’t end when one episode finishes. Any unclaimed prize money will carry forward to the next show, creating the possibility of a jaw-dropping £500,000 jackpot. But the twist that has fans most intrigued is the return rule—contestants who reach the legendary 1% question can come back again and fight for even bigger winnings. One unanswered question could now set off a chain reaction that changes the entire week of the competition.

The 1% Club is set to undergo a huge change later this year in a special week-long rollover event. The quiz show hosted by comedian Lee Mack has been a hit with fans since it first aired in 2022. The show features 100 fresh contestants attempting to answer logic-based questions that progressively increase in difficulty.

It offers players the chance to win up to £100,000. According to a survey conducted by the show’s producers, 90% of the British public could answer the first question. However, only 1% of people can answer the final question correctly.

It has recently been confirmed that the Saturday night version of The 1% Club will transform into a supersized five-day primetime event called The 1% Club Rollover in autumn this year.

The 1% Club Rollover operates on the same game mechanics as The 1% Club, but with an exciting twist – any prize pot not won on one show rolls over to the next day.

If all the pots roll over, contestants could potentially win an astonishing amount of up to £500,000.

Another rule of The Rollover is that anyone who reaches the 1% question automatically returns to compete again, This means that if someone wins big on one show, they get to come back for the next day’s show where they could potentially double, triple or even quadruple their winnings.

Sue Murphy, Head of Factual Entertainment at ITV, said: “The 1% Club Rollover as event TV is a perfect fit. The series continues to go from strength to strength and has become a must watch in homes across the country on Saturday nights.

“This special Rollover week will really be a primetime event that will have the nation hooked. Five nights of The 1% Club and Lee Mack… What’s not to like?”.

The 1% Club has proven to be a global hit and the biggest original quiz show in more than a decade.

The show regularly attracts over six million viewers per episode, and since its inception three years ago, it has been streamed more than 40 million times and reached an audience of 43 million.

The 1% Club’s success has led to a number of awards, including two National TV Awards for Best Quiz Show, two Broadcast Awards for Best Entertainment Show, a Rose d’Or for Best Entertainment Show, and a TRIC Award for Best Gameshow.
