Congratulation! Your Dream Is Right. One The 1% Club Player Made A £10,000 Decision That Sounded Completely Bizarre—Until The Final Question Appeared And Suddenly Everyone Understood Why She Had Trusted Her Instinct

The 1% Club Contestant Walks Away With £10,000 After a Dream Warned Her Not to Risk It All

One contestant on The 1% Club made an extraordinary decision at the final hurdle, walking away with £10,000 after revealing that a dream the night before had seemingly warned her what would happen if she went for the jackpot.

Liz was among the 100 contestants taking part in Saturday night’s episode of the Lee Mack-hosted ITV game show. By the end of the competition, she was the only player still standing and faced a choice: keep the £10,000 she had already secured or risk it for the full £100,000 prize.

Her decision became even more remarkable when she explained why she was reluctant to play on.

Liz’s dream appeared to predict the final

Before making her choice, Liz told Lee that she had dreamed about reaching exactly this stage of the competition the previous night.

“It’s very weird, Lee, because I got to this point in my dream last night, and then I decided I wanted to take the ten,” she explained.

But according to Liz, the dream then took an unfortunate turn.

“But something went really wrong, and I ended up playing for the full money, and then I didn’t know the answer.”

Faced with an eerily similar situation for real, Liz wasn’t keen to ignore what she had dreamed.

She even made The 1% Club history during her deliberations by asking the other 99 contestants, who had already been eliminated, what they thought she should do.

In the end, Liz trusted her instincts and told Lee she was taking the £10,000.

It proved to be an extremely fortunate decision.

The £100,000 question would have ended her run

Had Liz chosen to gamble her winnings, she would have faced the following question:

“If you can roll six different numbers using one standard die, how many different totals can you make by rolling three identical standard dice?”

Liz revealed afterward that she would have answered 102.

The correct answer was 16.

With three standard dice, the lowest possible total is three and the highest is 18, producing 16 different possible totals.

Had she ignored her dream and played for the jackpot, Liz therefore would have left without the £10,000 she had already secured.

Earlier in the episode, she had revealed that she hoped to use her winnings to buy her husband a ticket to the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Viewers couldn’t believe how her decision played out

The strange coincidence quickly caught the attention of viewers on social media.

“No way her dream came true,” one person wrote on X.

Another joked: “This woman who had that dream must be psychic.”

Others were simply relieved that Liz had followed her instincts, with one viewer praising her for “making the correct decision,” while another wrote: “Well done that lass.”

The show’s official social media account also congratulated her.

However, while Liz’s decision impressed viewers, the question she avoided prompted a very different debate.

Some viewers thought the 1% question was far too easy

Several fans argued that the jackpot puzzle wasn’t difficult enough to deserve its place as the show’s final 1% question.

One viewer went as far as describing it as “the easiest 1% question of all time,” while another claimed it took “about 2 seconds” to work out.

“That was easy I thought,” another viewer posted, with others similarly arguing that it was “way too easy for a 1% question.”

Of course, Liz’s incorrect guess demonstrated how different the experience can be when a contestant is actually standing in the studio with a potentially life-changing amount of money on the line.

Other contestants have taken the £100,000 gamble

Liverpool student Lucie becomes first person ever to win full ?100,000 prize on The 1% Club

Earlier this year, teacher Maccisha became the first contestant to win the show’s entire £100,000 jackpot.

She successfully cracked a number-sequence puzzle within the allotted 30 seconds to claim the full prize.

Another £100,000 victory came in December on spin-off The 1% Club Rollover, when Liverpool law student Lucie Alcock faced a difficult alphabet sequence.

The puzzle required contestants to identify the next letter using the names of shapes, with each shape missing the same number of letters from the beginning of its name as the number of sides it had.

Despite viewers on social media describing the question as “impossible,” Lucie beat three other remaining competitors and secured the entire £100,000.

Her victory made her the first winner outside the celebrity edition of the spin-off, after Clarke Carlisle previously won for charity in June.

Liz ultimately chose a very different route to victory. Rather than gambling everything on one final puzzle, she listened to the warning from her dream — and after discovering what her answer would have been, that £10,000 decision couldn’t have worked out much better.
