‘98% WANT HIM TO STOP’ — PRINCE HARRY FACES STUNNING REBUKE FROM BRITONS AFTER FRESH ROYAL FAMILY INTERVIEW

Prince Harry has faced a striking backlash from Daily Express readers after speaking publicly about his fractured relationship with King Charles and Prince William, with a poll suggesting overwhelming opposition to his continued interviews about the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex opened up to GQ about his hopes of reconciliation, admitting that the emotional scars left by family conflict can last a lifetime. But his comments, published as King Charles hosted the Sultan of Oman at Windsor Castle, prompted fresh questions about whether Harry should continue discussing the royal rift in public.
A Daily Express poll attracted 4,409 votes between 3.10pm on Tuesday, October 20, and 9.55am on Wednesday, October 21. Of those who took part, 4,295 respondents—98%—said Harry should stop giving interviews about his family.
Just 101 people, representing 2%, disagreed, while 13 respondents said they did not know.
The results reflect the views of those who participated in the poll, rather than the British public as a whole, but they deliver a clear indication of the sentiment among the readers who voted.

Harry insists reconciliation is what matters most
During his interview with GQ, Harry was asked whether he grieved the relationship he once had with his family.
“Yes, of course,” he replied, describing family estrangement as an experience many people could understand, from disagreements between siblings to broken relationships between parents and children.
He suggested that discussing his own situation might even help him find a way forward.
“People may look at us and go, ‘How are you gonna work it out?’ Maybe that will help me work my stuff out,” Harry said.
The Duke also made clear that he wanted the family rift to be resolved, despite believing that others might not share his hopes.
“Some people don’t want it to work out. I want it to work out,” he said.
“With everything else that’s going on in the world, the most important thing is to reconcile—that’s the key point.”
Harry acknowledged that reconciliation would not necessarily erase the pain caused by past events.
“Scars stick around forever,” he added, before speaking about the importance of changing one’s perspective and learning to let go of experiences that continue to cause distress.
“For me, there’s enough drama in the world and enough drama in people’s lives to continue with issues with family,” he said.
Interview coincides with major royal diplomatic event
The timing of Harry’s interview also drew attention, as it was released while King Charles was hosting the Sultan of Oman for a state visit in Windsor.
The King, Queen Camilla, and the Prince and Princess of Wales all had important roles in the diplomatic engagement.
Harry’s remarks included the observation that “some people don’t want it to work out”, prompting speculation about whom he meant. However, a spokesperson for the Duke clarified that the comment was general and “absolutely not intended as a swipe” at either his father or his brother.
The interview nevertheless brought renewed attention to the long-running family estrangement and Harry’s repeated public reflections on the subject.
Will Harry’s message lead to reconciliation?
Harry’s latest comments suggest that, despite the hurt he describes, he remains hopeful that relationships within his family can improve.
His emphasis on forgiveness and moving beyond past grievances offers a glimpse into how he views the possibility of reconciliation. Yet the poll results show that many participating readers would prefer him to stop discussing the family dispute in interviews.
Whether Harry’s latest appeal will help pave the way towards a private resolution remains uncertain. For now, his desire to reconcile and the public reaction to his decision to speak out have left the royal family rift firmly in the spotlight.
