One of Netflix’s Most Twisted Thrillers

I Will Find You, based on the 2023 novel by thriller visionary Harlan Coben, sees David Burroughs ( Sam Worthington) searching for the truth about what actually happened to his son, Matthew (Jasper Rainn Lawrence). The boy has been murdered, and David has been framed for the crime and thrown in prison. But when his sister-in-law Rachel (Britt Lower) shows him evidence that Matthew is alive, David decides to do whatever’s necessary to find the boy. The problem is that there’s a bigger conspiracy at play, and escaping from prison is only the first part of a much larger mystery.

Sure, the show runs on the conventions of Netflix’s formula, and some viewers will likely frown at what seems to be yet another run-of-the-mill crime thriller. But others will surely be impressed, as in terms of pace it never loses momentum. That’s where it stands out among its peers – especially those based on Coben’s body of work – with the most distinctive quality being its ability to keep the mystery alive by throwing cliffhanger after cliffhanger.

Audiences agree. Per Netflix Tudum, the series remains one of its most successful shows of 2026. It has remained in the top 10 for three weeks and accumulated a total of 88 million hours of viewership. The show is now No. 1 on Netflix’s global top 10 list of most popular TV shows.
