‘Jeopardy!’ Champion Anthony Cantor Survives Another Tough Game — But All Three Contestants Miss Final Jeopardy!
Anthony Cantor secured another victory on Jeopardy! despite a difficult game in which none of the three contestants managed to answer the final clue correctly. The Toronto-based television and podcast producer returned for his second appearance on Tuesday, October 20, hoping to build on his impressive $37,200 winnings from the previous day.
However, the game took an unexpected turn as missed Daily Doubles, incorrect responses and a challenging Final Jeopardy! clue made for a low-scoring contest.

Anthony Cantor Takes the Lead in a Difficult Match
Cantor, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, faced two new challengers: Jim Snaza, a marketing manager from Chicago, Illinois, and Amy Treber, a barista and editor from Indianapolis, Indiana.
The game proved unusually challenging for all three contestants. None of the three Daily Doubles was answered correctly, and the board featured 13 Triple Stumpers alongside 12 incorrect responses.
Cantor’s performance stood out when he went all-in on his Daily Double and answered correctly, helping him establish an advantage over his opponents. By the end of the first round, he had taken the lead.
The gap widened during Double Jeopardy. Cantor finished the round with $11,000, while Snaza held second place with $2,600 and Treber followed with $2,000.
Despite his lead, Cantor still faced one final challenge that could change the outcome of the game.
All Three Contestants Miss the Final Jeopardy! Clue
The Final Jeopardy! category was “Natural Wonders,” with a clue referencing an inscription near a famous landmark that quotes Daniel Webster:
“God ‘has hung out a sign to show that there He makes men.’”
The correct response was “What is the Old Man of the Mountain?” — but none of the contestants identified the landmark.
Treber offered “What is shrugging man?” and wagered $1,999, leaving her with just $1.
Snaza guessed “What is Cape Cod?” He risked $1,401, reducing his final total to $1,199.
Cantor’s response was “What is the Grand Canyon?” Despite his incorrect answer, his earlier lead gave him enough of a cushion to finish with $5,201 after wagering $5,799.
Although the final scores were considerably lower than the contestants might have hoped, Cantor still emerged victorious.

‘At Least Anthony Won’: Viewers React to the Low-Scoring Game
The difficult match prompted reactions from Jeopardy! viewers online. One Reddit user summed up the episode by writing, “Today’s game was… rough to say the least, but at least Anthony won, that’s something good…”
Cantor’s second victory means he will return on Wednesday, October 21, for his third game. After two appearances featuring very different scoring opportunities, viewers will be watching to see whether he can deliver a stronger performance or face another challenging round.
Will Cantor extend his winning streak? And can he turn his latest victory into another impressive run?
